This morning i put up a post about my saluki x having hold of our jackie. And a few lads said they would of give it a good crack. And i said once you give a saluki x a crack they will never be the same with you again i got told that by a pal of mine never ever put ya hand on um. So should you or not crack saluki x lads.

If anyone's to blame its the owner, im guilty I left two terriers together in my yard for 15 minutes and one nearly killed the other.

No need recall should be good enough, basic training done right no need to hit em but if its spur of the moment and for eg dogs fighting a slap to stop it isn't goin to do any harm as they would be buzzed up anyway ! Loud voice commands is the way forward for sla bold dog !

Am talking about saluki breeds not bull x mate they wouldnt even fell ya hand my staff just thinks your playing when you crack him thinks its a game daft c**t it is.

My bitch (sal/whip/grey) has felt my hand a few times. Not broken the bond at all. But now I never have to. If she really pisses me off then I might show her my hand or grit my teeth at her and she knows straight away.

 

My beddy x dog isn't quite as sensitive and clip round the ear doesn't have the same effect. But my voice upsets him more so I tend to just bollock him.

like everythink we are all different as is the dogs, ive got a super bond with ma brindle and a lesser one with blackie. we never going to do the sameso some with a tap some without.

I gave my pup a smack for thinking he new best and his recall went to fcuk and I was honesly thinking of getting rid,but I turned him around and now he comes right back no problem,but with salukis their temprement is different from most breeds and they can be stubborn and have a mind of their own so I think you might be right in not hitting them
